“Love on Miodowa St.” (Leo Lipski’s story) is a theatrical production based on Leo Lipski’s literary works. It tells a life story that spans years and countries, taking us from Krakow to Volga to Tel Aviv to Paris. This is the first ever stage adaptation of Lipski’s prose. Leo Lipski (né Lipschütz) is a Polish writer of Jewish descent who lived in Krakow, in Kazimierz, till 1939. His life in Krakow is the subject of his early stories. Following the war and his incarceration in Gulag, Lipski settled in Tel Aviv. The first theatrical stage production based on the literary works of Leo Lipski (né Lipschütz), “Love on Miodowa St.” spans years and countries, following Lipski's pre-war years in Krakow; a gulag in Volga, to Paris, then finally, Tel Aviv, where, partially paralyzed, he lived out a full life, driven by his longing for his homeland and leaving behind and enduring body of work.
